Basic Function

The Field Engineer has the responsibility and authority to install, test and manage new equipment as well as inspect, upgrade, and manage existing equipment at medical institutes throughout Europe. This role will focus on equipment for cardiac ablation procedures performed in an MRI environment and will heavily interface with the European Sales team and the USA based Engineering team. This position is in a fast-growing medical device company and requires ability to work effectively both independently and within a cross-functional team to set and meet milestones.

This position is responsible for complying with the Quality System requirements and carrying out responsibilities as outlined in the environmental, health, and safety policies. 


  • Install, test, and accurately document new commercial site implementation
  • Provide technical support for investigational and commercial sites
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
  • Perform annual preventative maintenance for cardiac ablation equipment and accurately document
  • Develop an electrical and mechanical understanding of cardiac ablation equipment
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment as needed
  • Grow and develop the field service team to improve customer services
  • Address customer enquiries, resolve issues and obtain customer feedback
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive, and healthy relationships to support sales, product development, and clinical programs


  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable technical discipline – electrical experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years applicable work experience.
  • Strong communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Able to work in a high paced, changing environment and interface with internal and external partners
  • Excellent written and problem-solving skills required
  • Fluent in local language and English, additional languages a plus
  • Preferred experience with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Preferred experience with start-up or mid-sized company environments
  • Valid driver’s license and valid passport
