11 August 2022 – Minneapolis, United States – Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. (Company or Imricor) (ASX:IMR) the global leader in realtime interventional cardiac magnetic resonance (iCMR) cardiac ablation products, is pleased to announce it has entered into two new agreements with Siemens Healthineers that together provide Imricor the ability to deploy the Company’s new 3D mapping system on the Siemens Healthineers Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) platform.

The first agreement provides Imricor the ability to connect their new 3D mapping system to MRI scanners from Siemens Healthineers. This connection is made possible by a CE-labeled software interface from Siemens Healthineers called “Access-i”, which is available for Siemens Healthineers’ MRI scanners such as MAGNETOM Sola and Aera.

The second agreement allows Imricor to interface their MRI-compatible catheters directly with MRI scanners from Siemens Healthineers, including their newer 1.5T scanners, MAGNETOM Aera and MAGNETOM Sola.

These agreements provide the opportunity for iCMR sites using MRI scanners from Siemens Healthineers to participate in Imricor’s planned ventricular tachycardia ablation (VT) clinical trial, beginning in 2022.

Imricor’s Chair and CEO, Steve Wedan, commented: “Early prototype versions of the 3D mapping systems will be used, starting in Q3, for research and clinical trial purposes, including our upcoming VT trial, with the end goal of CE mark certification for the 3D mapping system at the same time we receive VT indications for our second generation Vision-MR Ablation Catheter.”

Robert Krieg, VP Advanced Solutions & Therapy, Siemens Healthineers, stated: “Siemens Healthineers is excited to engage in the Access-i and Local Coils partnership with Imricor which will provide a first of its kind implementation of a 3D mapping system based on our established third-party interfaces.”

Commenting on the collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, Steve Wedan continued: “The entire 3D mapping system program is a result of the close partnership we have with Siemens Healthineers, and we are very pleased with how our partnership continues to grow and mature.”
