Basic Function
The Material Handler will be responsible for carrying out multiple duties centered around areas of the warehouse and manufacturing operations including cycle counting, labeling, receiving, issuing, warehousing, and shipping all inventories and supplies. This position is responsible for complying with the Quality System requirements and carrying out responsibilities as outlined in the environmental, health, and safety policies.
Location: Must be able to work at the Burnsville Location
Compensation: The expected wage for this Minnesota-based position is between $20-$25 an hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and or experience. Responsibilities
- Performs receiving, handling, and warehousing of all inventories
- Maintains an orderly warehouse including the inventory location system
- Picks all the manufacturing jobs and issues material to cleanroom
- Schedules, configures and palletizes all domestic and international shipments
- Prepares all shipment paperwork and documents
- Participates in monthly cycle counting
- Creates, tracks, and administers Inventory Request forms
- Processes travelers and all Fishbowl transfer orders/movements
- Performs necessary tasks to support departments continuous improvement projects
- Creates and issues purchase orders
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or Two-year Technical Degree minimum
- 3+ years of relevant work experience including experience with logistics, supply chain, third party manufacturing coordination, and purchasing of raw materials
- Proficiency in Fishbowl inventory system
- Detail oriented, organized and able to multitask
- Ability to work at a significant pace and perform well under the pressures of deadlines
- Strong documentation skills with a commitment to following process and procedures
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred
- Importing and exporting knowledge preferred
