Basic Function
The Field Clinical Engineer based out of Europe is responsible for supporting customers perform clinical research and commercial cases through training, installation, and technical support prior to and during procedures. The Field Clinical Engineer has authority to install, test, and manage new and used equipment (including investigational equipment) for all Imricor Customers. This position must understand MR guided interventional procedures (including Electrophysiology Procedures) and excel in ability to work with physicians and MR and EP technicians as well as troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment in an efficient and compliant manner. This position will interface with an international sales team, as well as a US-based Operations, Engineering, and Clinical team. This position is in a fast-growing medical device company and requires 95% travel.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical and clinical procedure support for investigational and commercial sites including, but not limited to:
- Interacting directly with physicians during interventional procedures as the technical and clinical expert on Imricor’s Ablation, EP, and Mapping System
- Site training on procedures for commercial cases
- Clinical study training on protocols and investigational procedures
- Maintaining a strong relationship with study site physicians and personnel
- Collaborates with the Sales and Operations team to assure customer satisfaction and enable usage and growth for each account.
- Ensures site clinical study execution is done per protocol
- Installs, tests, and accurately documents commercial and investigation site installations.
- Performs all preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, service and repair.
- Oversees use, disposition, and management of the Service Ticket program and Quality records created for the quality system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in biomedical engineering, clinical discipline or relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years applicable work experience.
- Preferred experience with ablation or other electrophysiology procedures/devices.
- Preferred experience with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
- Preferred experience with start-up or mid-sized company environments.
- Strong communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are essential
- Excellent written, verbal and technical problem-solving skills required.
- Fluent in local language and English, additional languages a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and valid passport.
