Basic Function
The Procurement Specialist principal duties will be purchasing components, assemblies, and products, for all Imricor products while assuring promised delivery dates. The position is responsible for complying with the Quality System requirements and carrying out responsibilities as outlined in the environmental, health, and safety policies.
Location: Must be able to work at Burnsville Location
Compensation: The expected salary for this Minnesota-based position is between $70,000-$95,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, and Retirement Benefits).
Responsibilities
- Performs purchasing/buying duties by analyzing inventory requirements and placing purchase orders for components, assemblies or products from the approved vendors to meet the required quantity and delivery dates.
- Reviews planned purchase orders that are generated and releases the planned orders in a timely manner.
- Reviews and anticipates shortages and expedites orders as necessary.
- Confirms and tracks orders. Maintains and reviews open order status to reflect accurate vendor and purchase order information.
- Tracks purchase orders and escalates issues to the production team.
- Evaluates vendor performance and works with manufacturing team to improve vendor performance to provide a reliable supply chain.
- Works collaboratively with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to resolve any design, quality, quantity or pricing issues with the vendor.
- Works with accounting to review purchase price variances and provides recommendations related thereto.
- Suggests changes for material handling, sourcing and related processes and systems.
- Serves as back-up function as needed for shipping and receiving.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, science, business, or financial degree.
- 3-5 years’ experience in purchasing, inventory management and supply chain functions within a medical products company or highly regulated industry.
- Knowledge of FDA, ISO, US Customs and medical product industry regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Purchasing Certifications desired.
