6 May 2020 – Minneapolis, United States – Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. (Company or Imricor) (ASX:IMR) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Master Purchasing Agreement (the agreement) with Sana Einkauf & Logistik GmbH of Ismaning Germany (Sana). Sana is the largest Group Purchasing Organisation (GPO) in Germany, with 600 cooperating hospitals and medical institutions across Germany and Switzerland. Approximately 80 of these sites perform cardiac ablations and are therefore potential Imricor customers.
Under the agreement, Imricor’s products are included in Sana’s catalogue of materials that are approved for use by member hospitals and clinics. Pricing of these products is set for any site that is part of the GPO. In addition, Sana will provide Imricor with contact details of all hospitals and clinics in its network, thereby streamlining access to these sites for future sales and marketing activities.
The term of the agreement extends to at least 31 December 2023.
Imricor’s Chair and CEO, Steve Wedan said: “In establishing a new clinical site, contract negotiations can be a time consuming component of the process. The Master Purchasing Agreement with Sana streamlines this for our sales team across approximately 80 sites.
“Expanded patient access across Europe is our top commercial priority with the Sana agreement supporting our future success in this area.”
Imricor’s first commercial site, the Dresden Heart Centre, is part of the Sana network. Imricor’s early clinical success at this site promoted the desire within Sana for broader access across the network.
The Imricor products are specifically designed to work under real-time MRI guidance, with the intent of enabling higher success rates along with a faster and safer treatment compared to conventional procedures using x-ray guided catheters. Imricor is the first and only company to offer cardiac ablation devices for use in the MRI environment.
