26 October 2020 – Minneapolis, United States – Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. (Company or Imricor) (ASX:IMR) the global leader in iCMR guided cardiac ablation products, is pleased to announce the Jaques Cartier Private Hospital’s Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud (ICPS) has signed a purchase agreement with Imricor. The Company is working with the site to schedule installation, training, and first procedures.

Professor Jerôme Garot, Head of Cardiovascular MR at the Institute commented: “This is indeed very exciting to treat arrhythmias in the MR environment, without ionizing radiation, and with all the capabilities MRI has to offer. The collaborative work between Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular MR physicians is very exciting in this field and we really look forward to it.”

The ICPS is the first site in France to adopt Imricor’s technology for iCMR guided ablations, having already established an iCMR lab housing a Siemens 1.5T MAGNETOM Aera MR scanner in 2019.

Commenting on this milestone, Professor Garot continued: “It is obvious to us that iCMR guided ablation will be part of the future of cardiology. This will allow us to deliver targeted lesions and to visualize these lesions on-line. We believe this technique will help physicians make great breakthroughs in the overall understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment of myocardial substrates and arrhythmias.”

Imricor’s Chair and CEO, Steve Wedan, said: “We could not be more thrilled to bring iCMR ablations to France at the Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, and we look forward to working with the truly world-class team there.
