9 March 2021 – Minneapolis, United States – Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. (Company or Imricor) (ASX:IMR) the global leader in MRI-guided cardiac ablation products, is pleased to announce the Helios Leipzig Heart Centre in Germany has commenced procedures.

Professor Gerhard Hindricks, Head of Electrophysiology at the Heart Centre commented: “Today we did our first case since COVID. It was a beautiful case, and it’s great to be back performing iCMR ablations. We are very happy and enthusiastic about the restart of our program, and I see a great future and great cases coming up very very soon.

While general lockdowns across Germany have been extended until 28 March, elective procedures at the Leipzig Heart Centre are no longer prohibited, according to Hindricks.

Imricor’s Chair and CEO, Steve Wedan, commented: “We couldn’t be more thrilled than to be back in Leipzig with Professor Hindricks and his world class team. Together, we can begin executing the many plans we have for the coming months.

The Leipzig Heart Centre is an Imricor Centre of Excellence which will, among other things, provide training for new sites as they adopt iCMR ablations.
